Summary: The revised policy (2023) provides a set of standards by which gifts are solicited, reviewed, accepted, recognized, and administered by Howard University. It ensures that the University is acting in accordance with fundraising industry standards, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Code, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Global Reporting Standards, and pertinent laws and regulations. This policy does not govern the acceptance and administration of grants managed by the Office of Research Administration Services (RAS).
