Board of Visitors

The Howard University Board of Visitors Program consists of fourteen boards, one for each of the Schools and Colleges. These boards welcome a combined 200+ individuals of stature from business, health sciences, academia, the arts, and other fields. 

Each Board of Visitors is chaired by a trustee of Howard University, and its members include both distinguished alumni and accomplished individuals without prior Howard affiliation. 

Boards of Visitors provide Deans with a range of external perspectives and advice.  In addition, the Board of Visitors support the University’s culture of excellence by opening new opportunities for students, providing financial support, and extending its sphere of influence far beyond campus.
