Summary: This policy complies with U.S. export control laws and regulations and serves to make the University community (faculty, staff, and students) aware of the U.S. export control laws and regulations. The implementation and enforcement of export control laws cover both the transfer of materials and knowledge (technology, technical data, information, products, and defense articles), including but not limited to consulting, training, and speaking conferences. This policy complies with federal regulations promulgated by the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR) 15CFR §§730-774; U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) 22CFR §§120-130; and U.S. Department of Treasure, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
