Summary: It is the policy of Howard University to adopt employment policies and practices consistent with the requirements of host countries and employment laws of the United States that may apply. While there will be a preference for engaging both foreign nationals and US citizens based outside of the country as independent contractors, the structure of individual arrangements for service providers will be specifically designed to adhere to the applicable legal requirements of US and host country laws, funding agencies or other third parties.
